      IMS Data Communications (DC) Coding with MFS

      Course Abstract: This course is designed for application programmers who need a detailed understanding of designing, coding and testing IMS on-line transactions using IMS data communication functions and Message Format Services.

      Duration: 5 days

      Primary Audience: Application programmers who have responsibility to design and code applications using IMS data communications and Message Format Services (MFS); IMSADF application programmers.

      Prerequisites: Prior programming experience.

      Course Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to:

      • Design, code and test simple and complex IMS transactions
      • Describe common pitfalls inherent in on-line processing and techniques to avoid them

      Class Format: Lecture with hands-on exercises.

      Cost: In-house: $8,500 for up to 15 students; $500 for each additional student.
