Course Abstract: This course provides students with the knowledge required to design, implement and administer the IMS system to ensure maximum system availability. Students learn effective IMS system administration skills including installation, recovery, problem identification, and problem resolution. Students also learn to respond more effectively to user needs and gain a greater understanding of problem-solving options. They learn effective techniques for consulting user manuals, thus freeing time for problem resolution.

Primary Audience: IMS system administrators and technical support staff who coordinate or participate in the activities of system implementation, maintenance, problem determination and tuning.
