      IMS Fast Path Application Programming

      Course Abstract: This course is designed for experienced IMS programmers who need to learn the concepts and practical application of Fast Path databases. Fast Path databases and their processing requirements are covered in detail.

      Duration: 3 days

      Primary Audience: Experienced IMS applications staff who have responsibility to write programs using Fast Path databases and transactions.

      Prerequisites: Experience designing, using or supporting IMS full function databases.

      Course Objectives: Upon successful completion of the course, the student should be able to:

      • Describe the processing available for IMS Fast Path databases
      • Code application programs accessing Fast Path databases
      • Code applications using Fast Path transactions

      Class Format: Lecture with hands-on exercises.

      Cost: In-house: $5,100 for up to 15 students; $300 for each additional student.
