      IMS Fast Path Database Utilities

      Course Abstract: This course prepares the student to use IMS utilities to initialize, maintain and monitor IMS Fast Path databases.

      Duration: 1 day

      Primary Audience: DBAs, system programmers and senior application programmers who have responsibility to install, manage and maintain IMS Fast Path databases.

      Prerequisites: TSO/ISPF, MVS JCL, knowledge of IMS Fast Path database structures.

      Course Objectives: Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to:

      • Initialize IMS Fast Path databases
      • Maintain IMS Fast Path databases
      • Use Database Tools to monitor space usage, data distribution and performance

      Class Format: Lecture with hands-on exercises.

      Cost: In-house: $1,700 for up to 15 students; $100 for each additional student.
